With the latest update to its official Twitter client for iOS, Twitter has added support for 3D Touch Peek and Pop gestures in its app. Up until now, the app only supported 3D Touch shortcuts from the home screen.

With today’s update, the app gains support for peek and pop previews, which means that you can quickly peek into links, Twitter profiles, and media content by simply pressing lightly on them.

Swiping up on a peek will provide you with quick access links to share the tweet, send a direct message, block, report a user, and more. The actions shown in the menu will vary depending on whether your are peeking into a tweet or a profile.

Tweetbot, another popular Twitter client for iOS, gained support for 3D Touch last year itself. Just like the official Twitter client, Tweetbot also supports 3D Touch in timeline for quick access to advanced functions.

For some reason though, Twitter does not mention about the addition of these new 3D Touch gestures in the change log of the app.

Have you noticed any other changes in the update to the latest Twitter app for iOS?
